  1. My hero in life is my brother, because he makes sure I am doing everything the right way. He has taught me from right and wrong, and always reminds me to make sure I do better than I did yesterday. Also he motivates me with my studies, and teaches me to look at everything from different perspectives. He helped me through tough times in high school, and made sure I kept going forward no matter what. Thanks to him I am always on the right path to achieve my goals and dreams. No matter what, I know he will always have my back.

  2. 2) There we many influences for my choice of major, interior design. For starters, just how I'm wired, I cannot imagine being trapped in a boxy career that doesn't let me exercise my creativity. It is a great career that lets my artistic ideas flow. I love the control of being able to manipulate the mood of a room. Not only do I love the aspects of interior design, but if it weren't for my sister it would never have crossed my mind. She works in construction as a project manager so she works with architects and interior designers. This major is very fitting for who I am, and I also have connections to the field. I feel very fortunate to know what I want to do with my future.

  3. 2.) I was influenced towards the direction of my major because of my parents. They always stressed on me to find a career that I am passianote about. Both of them work in the medical field so after seeing their practice for so many years it inspired me to want to join it. Taking a slightly different route but hope to have the same affect in the end where I can help people who need it just like them.

  4. As cliche as it may seem, my heroes are my parents. Although they are not the reason I decided to major in business, they are the reason why I am so determined to succeed with my major. My parents have taught me never settle, always stand your ground, and to not depend on others. They also taught me not to break others down while I build myself up, but to build up others that are around me. With these words of encouragement, I was lured into majoring in business, so that one day I could possibly run my own company, and being a great leader while doing it.

  5. 1). My hero in life is my dad. He's my Hero because I've never known anyone else to be the first person I can call when I'm in trouble or just in need of someone to talk to. I feel very protected when I'm with him, and I know there's nothing he wouldn't do for me. How grounded he is and keeps me and his morals and beliefs are all very inspiring. I learn from him everyday. He's such a great person and I'm proud to have him as a father. He's a hero in my book.

  6. Question 1

My heroine in life is my mother, because she has been the only person who has been always there for me, and no matter what it is, she is there for me, she has done everything as possible for me to be where I am today. She makes sure about if I am doing everything in the right way and, also, she teaches me to be a better person. She always motivates and helps me with my studies, and always supports me in everything that I want to do, as long as it is the right thing, and that's why I am going to work hard, and pursue my career path, to surpass myself, and be a better person, because I want to take care of her just as she has taken care of me.

  7. Question 2:
Who is your hero or heroine in life and why?
The hero's in my life are my two parents. My parents are my hero's because they've sacrificed a lot in their lives to put my in the position I am today. They are also my hero's and have inspired me also because they keep me on track, and motivate/push me to reach my fullest potential.Without my parents molding me, and keeping me on track I am not sure how well I would've done on this journey by myself. My parents are the reason I am a business management major, they've instilled in me from a young age to get into such a profitable field.

  8. 1. My heroine in life would be my older sister, Daisy. Being the oldest sister in the family can give her a lot of pressure. She is the one who sets the example to the rest of the siblings and has done a great job. Daisy is my inspiration because she is a responsible, mature and respectable young lady. She has given me so much advice and has had my back whenever I need her. If I have a any problems, she is the first person I go to because I know I can count on her. She is like my second mother and I cherish the kind of relationship we share. I would never take her trust and love for granted. She has the kind of mind set and determination that makes her unique. I love her for never giving up on me when I let her down and I love her for moving forward and never lettings things get the best of her. She has been my role model ever since I was a child and she never fails to surprise me. I look up to her and hope to be as amazing as her one day. She will always be my heroine in life and motivation.

  9. 2. The person that influenced me toward my major is my father. At the time I was about 5 and living in Jamaica. He was a pharmacist and he owned to pharmacies. After losing him to cancer around that time, I told myself that I want to be just like him. Fast forward a couple years after that, we are now living in New Jersey and im in the 10th grade. My mother asks me what do I see myself studying at college. I told her biology because that could help me to become a pharmacist or pharmaceutical engineer just like my dad. As of right im still going for a biology degree but toward physical therapy. Even though im not doing exactly what he did, he still influenced me to do something similar.

Since I am apart of him , I am as capable to accomplish and overcome any obstacle.Throughout my life , I have been through many tribulations. Through it all,he has managed to be my backbone.

  11. 1. Audrey Hepburn is my heroine. It may seem shallow, but it is not. I do not idolize her for her looks, or grace, or style - I admire her for her personal strength to stand up for what she believed in although the odds were against her. The daughter of a Nazi sympathizer, she spent several years putting on ballet performances in secret to raise money for the Dutch resistance. Even when she faced the difficult decision of rejecting her family's beliefs, she still listened to her conscience and let her compassion and morality drive her actions.

  14. The heroine that is in my life is my Dad because he has gotten me out of many bad situations in my life. Even though we may not get along a lot and there’s up and downs in our relationship I know he is always going to be there for me. He has taught me many things and helped me realize that everyone out in the world doesn’t have my back, I’ve got to have my own back. He’s really have stuck independence into me, and I’m still trying to learn that. There is always going to be something to learn from him.

  15. (2) As odd as it sounds, I am my own influence on my choice of becoming a graphic design major. In my traditionally Filipino family, nobody has pursued a creative career because of its perceived instability, so I did not have that influence from the people I have spent most of my time around. Being in a career that keeps me on repetitive tasks and in one place did not seem fit for me. I wanted something that could give me new experiences but would have the same overarching theme to them and graphic design fits that description.

  17. The heroine in my life has definitely got to be my mother. Everything that she has done for me has brought me to become the self that I am proud of today. I look up to her, and I am thrilled to be given such an inspiration and a guide. She never fails to be there for me through thick and thin, and it sometimes leaves me in disbelief. The best part about my mother is, I know that everything she does is purely out of love. I hope to be like her one day.

  19. 2) The person that influenced my choice of becoming a computer programmer is my brother-in-law. When I was younger, I loved computers and technology. During the uncommon moments when I wasn't playing video games, I researched about computers and its growth in society. I did not believe in myself when I wanted to pursue this type of career because I felt that I could not catch up to the constant evolution of technology, however my brother-in-law had enlightened me. He showed me that through the hard work and effort that goes into this field, there is not much physical effort needed. He soon started to teach me a bit of computer programming and I am glad to have his guidance during this college year to succeed in this major.

  20. Life has influenced me towards the major I wish to pursue. I've recently become and undecided freshman because I can't decide between psychology, biology, or sociology. Originally, i wanted to become a pediatrician because I love children and I always want to make sure their in good hands. On the other hand, I wanted to become a child psychologist or social worker again, because I want to make sure children are in good hands and dont have to grow up closed off and believing no one is there for them, like I did. I'm the oldest of four children on my mothers' side, the middle child on my fathers' and the oldest of 13 grandchildren, and I was raised by my grandmother, so the pressure of being "great" has had its toll on me. I dont wish for my kids or no ones kids in the future to only know 'greatness is mandatory" because it isn't, mistakes are okay or '"depression isn't real" because it is, and it sucks...
