1.) Something that I changed my mind about in the last year was my decision on not dorming. The one thing I always looked forward to when I thought about college was dorming. That was the one thing that excited me and drove me to work harder in school as I did not want to stay home with my parents. Then one day my parents sat me down and had a serious talk about how we simply could not afford it and did not want me taking out housing under my student loans as it would lead to a crazy amount of debt. After thinking it out and realizing commuting was the best decision I decided that I would not dorm my first year so that I can save up money for the next years housing bill.
Many people go through stress and have different coping methods to relieve it. My best coping method to relieve stress is sleep. I am not one to stress over little things so if I'm stressed out, it's about a serious issue. Since I'm stressed out about it will be all I think about. What i found is that napping helps me relax and relieve stress. So when I wake up, yes the issue will be on my mind, but I will not stress over it and think about it as much as before.
(1) I changed my mind about what kinds of institutions would take me in. For most of high school, I was optimistic that I could go to the best art schools in the country. I had confidence through the roof about my portfolio, but a few rounds of National Portfolio Day showed me that I was not cut out for those schools. Not only was my competition far better than me, but my family did not have pockets big enough for these art schools. So I changed my mindset and lower my standards.
1. Something that I changed my mind about in the last year would be money handling. Last year, I worked at a fast food place to be able to earn money and spend it on senior year expenses. I wanted money to buy my own prom dress, ticket, and trips. I did not know how to handle a budget and shop smart. By the end of my senior year, I had spent most of the money I worked for and did not have enough for the future. I realized I would need money to buy my textbooks for college and to pay for the remaining of my tuition. If I had known how to handle my money better, I would not have worried about being short on money for college. Now, I am more aware of my money and I try to spend as little as possible. This year, I plan on being more responsible on how I handle my expenses.
2) Managing my stress and anxiety has become much easier as I got older. What I tend to do is make mental lists in my head of what things are important and what things are less important. I tend to tackle the most important first because those little things won't bother me as much as I work on the bigger tasks. I find that when I’m knee deep in work and assignments it helps a lot to take a pause and breath because if I don't, I’ll get tunnel vision and get lost. Stepping back and seeing what I’ve done so far and what I need to get done keeps me in check and also gives me a boost if I was productive; which is hopefully the case!
Question # (2) They are many ways in which you can manage your stress and anxiety. Some ways in which you can manage stress and anxiety is having enough sleep, exercise often and be socially active. These are some significant actions that you should practice in keeping your emotions calm, this will relieve stress whenever its present. Another important concept is to take a small break during work to relieve any pressure or stress against you. 2). There are many ways to handle stress and anxiety. I tend to stress myself out a lot by taking on too many tasks, and many times, I tend to overthink a lot of things. Which then leads me to having headaches and bad days. But I was taught to handle it by talking everything one day at a time. If things get a little overwhelming for me, I would sit down, take a deep breath and relax for the day. Mental health is very important and you have to manage it well so it doesn't get out of control. I also make sure that I take in only what I can handle, that I don't over work myself in a day or a week. Your body needs rest to function properly, and for you to be healthy physically and mentally. So, everytime I see myself getting stressed out and having anxiety, I just take deep breaths and slow everything down and rest to take care of myself.
Something that I changed my mind about in the last year was my career in being a photographer. I was looking forward of taking pictures and creating durable images. However, knowing that it involves being very artistic, and being able to edit pictures, I knew it wasn’t my right decision. I do like taking photos in some occasions, but not as a lifetime career. I know that I wouldn’t be able to sit all day in a computer editing a single picture for an hour. That is when I decided I wanted to be a physical therapist, because it involves science and exercise. I hope I am able to accomplish my dreams.

From my perspective I had heard the emergency tones for units to respond and I had immediately driven to the station. A lieutenant, a regular member, and I had arrived on scene and right as I step out of the truck I had nearly stepped in brain matter. I had seen the aftermath of the car and the top of the car looked squished. I was soon told that the victims were relatively young and I soon started to worry about my own safety. I have made myself sure to be aware of my surroundings and I am very cautious when it comes to suspicious situations.
1. In the last year, the biggest thing I changed my mind about was what I wanted to major in. I originally wanted to major in chemistry so that I could eventually become a cosmetic chemist. However, I realized that even though I wanted to create makeup and beauty products, I did not want to spend four to five years of my life taking endless amounts of science classes. I enjoy science, but I do not enjoy it that much. Changing my mind about that was a good thing in the end because now I look forward to my classes.

Sometimes I don't feel like I want to express my feelings to others. When I write in my journal I am able to figure out what is really the cause of my stress. Stress and anxiety can be caused by many things. Whether it’s massive workloads with close due dates or presentations in front of a class, I always have a way to manage my stress. First of all, I try not to panic, because panicking will only waste time and make me worry more. Second, I make myself realize that it is not the end of the world, and that if I just try my best everything will be fine. It’s also important to realize that nothing lasts forever, so whatever is causing the stress or the anxiety will eventually be a thing of the past.
In the past year, I have changed my mind about a lot of things but a main one is about who I let into my personal life. I used to let almost everyone I met into my life way too quickly and it usually backfired. Letting strangers into your business is very dangerous, I have endured that danger first hand. The decision I made was mostly built on terrible past experiences and fear of them reoccurring. After, I changed my mind about that I became very preserved.
Something that I changed my mind about in the past year was what school I would choose to go to after high school. At first I was thinking of going to community college at Union County College. I was already use to that school because I took classes there during highschool. Also, a couple of my friends from highschool are attending that school. After sitting down with my parents and people from the addmissions office at kean, I came to the conclustion that I want to try something new and step out my comfort zone. I tend to manage my stress and anxiety by crying, sleeping, or being active. Crying allows me to clear my head and breathe. Sleep doesn't really manage my stress and anxiety but allows me to ignore it for a few. Yes the problem will still be there, but at least I had an hour not to think about it. Being active, especially socially active allows you to be around friends that want you to have fun, and clear your head rather then dwell in your anxiety.
